The legend says that when God distributed the world between the peoples, the only who were absent were the Bulgarians, because they were working on the field. God remembered them when there was no land left for giving away and in order to reward their hard work he gave them a part of heaven. Situated at the crossroad, where different civilizations met, Bulgaria continued to preserve the tracks of the Thracians, Proto-Bulgarians, Romans, Byzantines, Ottomans of all those ancient peoples that moved across the land, Spartak, Tangra, Cyril and Metodii were born. They called it 'The door to Orient' and on its territory cities with wonderful museum ruins with golden beaches and generous rivers, that surround thick forest existed.
